He emphasized the event’s role in connecting India and the world’s textile industries. Over 3000 exhibitors from 100+ countries, 3000 buyers, and 40,000 trade visitors attended. Modi highlighted the government’s efforts to boost the textile sector’s contribution to India’s development.

He mentioned the five F’s: farm, fiber, factory, fashion, and foreign, emphasizing support for farmers, MSMEs, and exports. The government has redefined MSMEs to ensure they benefit from schemes regardless of size. Modi interacted with exhibitors and inspected exhibitions alongside Union ministers Piyush Goyal and Darshana Jardosh. Bharat Tex-2024, organized by 11 Textile Export Promotion Councils with government support, features over 65 knowledge sessions with 100+ global panelists.

During the inauguration, Union Minister Piyush Goyal highlighted the rapid growth of Bharat Mandapam since its opening just seven months ago. He stressed the importance of expanding the infrastructure to meet the growing demand, proposing the launch of Phase 2 at both Bharat Mandapam and YashoBhoomi.

Minister Goyal stated, “It has only been 7 months since PM Modi inaugurated this Bharat Mandapam on 26th July 2023, and in such a short time, both this place and YashoBhoomi have already started facing space constraints. Now, we must begin Phase 2 at both locations as soon as possible, which you can inaugurate in your third term.”

The event focuses on the entire textiles value chain, inspired by Modi’s 5F Vision.
