Murder of INLD Leader Nafe Singh Rathi Unveils Alleged Political Conspiracy

New Delhi : In a shocking development, the murder of Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) leader Nafe Singh Rathi near a railway crossing in Haryana’s Jhajjar district has taken a political turn, with accusations linking back to a previous suicide case involving a BJP leader. The deceased BJP leader, Jagdish Rathi, had accused Rathi of land grabbing in an audio note released before his suicide in January last year.

The list of accused in Nafe Singh Rathi’s murder includes Jagdish Rathi’s son Gaurav, brother Satish, BJP leader Narendra Kaushik, and three relatives of the municipal corporation chairperson Saroj Rathi. The charges range from murder and criminal conspiracy to violations under the Arms Act.

Rathi’s son, Jitendra, claims that the family had received information about being targeted, and they had sought security cover, alleging that the state government, including Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, ignored their pleas. According to Jitendra, Rathi had submitted written applications to various authorities seeking security but was allegedly denied the protection he requested.

Jitendra further alleges the involvement of local BJP leaders in the murder plot, pointing to the use of advanced weapons as an indication of substantial funds backing the assailants. The INLD leader, who was the chief of INLD in Haryana, was attacked while returning home in Bahadurgarh. The assailants, in a car, ambushed Rathi’s SUV near a railway crossing, resulting in his death and the serious injury of two others.

The government, led by Chief Minister Khattar, is facing criticism for not providing adequate security despite Rathi’s repeated requests. Khattar has assured swift action against the accused, emphasizing that no culprit in the case will be spared. As investigations unfold, the political landscape surrounding the murder continues to intensify, raising questions about the alleged conspiracy behind the chilling assassination of the INLD leader.
