Olympic champion Neeraj Chopra on Sunday scripted history yet again as he became the first Indian to win a gold medal in the World Athletics Championships with a big throw of 88.17m in the men’s javelin final.

In a historic moment that will forever be etched in the annals of Indian athletics, Neeraj Chopra secured the gold medal in the men’s javelin throw event at the World Athletics Championships held in Budapest, Hungary. The young athlete, often referred to as the ‘golden boy of Indian athletics’, not only clinched victory but also became the first-ever Indian to stand atop the podium in this prestigious global championship.
