G20: US President Biden’s visit to India next month, focus will be on this agenda
White House press secretary Carin Jean-Pierre said, "President Biden and G20 allies will discuss joint efforts to address many global issues
US President Joe Biden will visit India from 7 to 10 September to participate in the G-20 summit and will discuss with other leaders several global issues, including the Ukraine war. The White House said in a statement on Tuesday that President Biden would also appreciate the G-20 leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The G20 world leaders’ summit will be held from 9 to 10 September in New Delhi. This summit is expected to be one of the largest gatherings of world leaders in India. The chairmanship of G20 has been took over by India from Indonesia on December 1, 2022.
Biden’s focus will be on this agenda:
White House press secretary Carin Jean-Pierre said, “President Biden and G20 allies will discuss joint efforts to address many global issues, including clean energy and climate change, ending the economic and social impact of the Ukraine conflict.”
In his recent official statement, he also said, “Increasing the capacity of multilateral development banks, including the World Bank, will also be discussed to better fight the problem of poverty.”
Jean-Pierre said that during his visit to New Delhi, President Biden will also appreciate Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership of the G20 and reaffirm America’s commitment to the G20 as a major forum for economic cooperation. The Ukraine-Russia war and other global challenges would be discussed by Biden and other various leaders on the sidelines of the summit, White House National Security Advisor Jack Sullivan said.
Delhi will be turned into a cantonment:
During this important hosting of G-20, when all the big global leaders of the whole world will be present in New Delhi, there will be extra security everywhere in Delhi. The Delhi government has announced a holiday for schools. With this, a different role of all the ministries of the central government will be seen.
